Frequently asked questions
Does my phone support eSIM?
Many recent phones support eSIM, including iPhone XS/XR and later (models sold in mainland China mostly do not) and many recent Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models. Support varies by model and country of purchase, so check your phone's settings before buying. The phone must also be unlocked.
How do I install the eSIM?
Your QR code usually arrives by email within minutes of payment. Open it on the phone that will travel, while you still have Wi-Fi. On iPhone: Settings, then Cellular or Mobile Data, then Add eSIM, and scan the code. Turn Data Roaming on for the travel line only.
What happens when my data runs out?
Each plan has the data allowance (or, for unlimited plans, the fair-use terms) and validity period shown at checkout. Unused data does not roll over. When a limited allowance is used up, the connection stops or slows until the plan ends or you buy a new one. We try to email you before that happens, so you can buy a new plan in time.
When is an unused plan refundable?
Unused plans are refundable within 14 days of purchase, provided the eSIM has not connected to a network.
Can I keep my regular phone number active?
Yes. Dual-SIM devices let you keep your home SIM active for calls and SMS while using the travel eSIM for data.
